Descriptive design. Data was obtained through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The research subjects included the activity committee, community leaders, and residents involved in the celebration, namely the Lempangang village community consisting of three hamlets: Bontoboddia, Bontomanai, and Tamalalang hamlets. The research results show that friendship activities contribute greatly to creating positive social interactions between residents, increasing the sense of family, and strengthening the spirit of cooperation. Apart from being a form of appreciation, giving gifts is also a motivation for individuals to be more active in participating in competitions and joint activities. However, this study also found several challenges, such as the lack of involvement of the younger generation and budget constraints, which affected the smooth implementation of activities.
Nursalam Nur Indah Purnamasari Muh. The program addressed the participants who still lack public speaking proficiency, often limiting their roles in community events. Thirty housewives aged 27-33 participated in the training conducted from September 27 to 29, 2025. Using a competency-based approach, the training integrates theoretical and practical components. It is structured into six stages: orientation, motivational sessions, mindset opening, technical training, feedback provision, and follow-up activities. Participants used public speaking simulations tailored for formal and informal events, practicing voice modulation, audience engagement, and improvisation. Observation and direct assessment results revealed significant improvements in participants' confidence, material mastery, and communication skills. Feedback showed high participant satisfaction, with many recognizing the program's relevance to their personal and social responsibilities. Recommendations for future training include enhanced pre-training socialization, improved facilities, and advanced follow-up sessions to ensure long-term skill retention. In conclusion, the MC training program enhanced participants' public speaking skills and fostered community solidarity. This initiative highlights the importance of localized, need-based training in empowering individuals and addressing specific community challenges. The program serves as a replicable model for similar contexts.
Oktariyani Oktariyana Nor ‘Adha Binti AB Hamid Copyright (c) 2025 Oktariyani Oktariyani https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-05 2025-10-05 4 2 186 200 10.58988/jam.v4i2.404 Community Service in Nagari Pilubang Through Educational Mentorship Activities https://jurnal.staidaf.ac.id/jam/article/view/405
Education plays a crucial role in human development and improving the quality of life within communities. In Nagari Pilubang, Padang Pariaman Regency, the level of education remains low, which impacts the employment choices of most of the population, who rely on the agricultural and fisheries sectors. This research aims to improve community education through an educational assistance program focusing on religious study guidance and socialization activities. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with thematic data analysis techniques. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation at the research site. Data was analyzed by reducing data, presenting it as descriptive narratives, and drawing conclusions based on the identified themes. The study and socialization activities, such as the Clean and Healthy Lifestyle behavior guidance conducted at several schools in Nagari Pilubang, showed positive impacts for students who received additional learning and for the community, which became more aware of the importance of education and health. This program encouraged students to study more diligently, boosted their motivation, and fostered healthy living habits that benefit daily life. It is expected that, through this program, the Pilubang community will be able to develop their potential, improve their standard of living, and create sustainable change. This research also provides a deeper understanding of the community's support in enhancing education and welfare in Nagari Pilubang.
Silvia Rahma Yanti Ulfi Amelia Muhamad Mikdam Mugits Copyright (c) 2025 Silvia Rahma Yanti, Ulfi Ulfi Amelia https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-05 2025-10-05 4 2 201 213 10.58988/jam.v4i2.405 Efforts to Improve Religious Understanding of Islamic Education Study Programs’ Students Graduated from Public Schools https://jurnal.staidaf.ac.id/jam/article/view/422
This study explores the impact of limited Islamic Religious Education (IRE) lesson hours in public schools on the religious understanding of students enrolled in the Islamic Education Study Program at UIN Walisongo Semarang. Students from public school backgrounds often encounter difficulties in comprehending complex religious materials at the university level, especially those related to Arabic texts and classical Islamic sciences. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, the research involved eight participants selected for their academic challenges in adapting to religious learning. Data were collected through interviews, observations, document analysis, and literature studies. The findings highlight the existence of a significant gap in religious knowledge between public school graduates and their peers from madrasahs or Islamic boarding schools. To overcome this, various support strategies were identified, including religious student activity units, Arabic enrichment programs, guidebooks, mentoring systems, and inclusive teaching methods. The study emphasizes the importance of collaborative efforts between lecturers and institutions to provide an inclusive and adaptive learning environment. These interventions aim to strengthen students' religious competence and ensure equal opportunities for academic success in Islamic higher education.
Mahreshaibati Bilqis Ikramina Rizqi Putra Sya’bana Ahmad Fahri Yahya Ainuri Mayada Ainuzzahro Copyright (c) 2025 Mahreshaibati Bilqis https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-05 2025-10-05 4 2 214 229 10.58988/jam.v4i2.422 The Implementation of Mobile Marketing by Employing Participatory Action Research https://jurnal.staidaf.ac.id/jam/article/view/438
Jayamekar Village is renowned for its stone mortar craftsmanship, yet most entrepreneurs still rely on traditional marketing, limiting market reach. Despite the products' cultural value, promotion remains localized, limiting sales growth. This study implements mobile marketing to enhance digital strategies for increased sales and improved product image. Using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, entrepreneurs actively participate in training on digital platforms such as WhatsApp Business, Facebook Ads, and Shopee over four weeks. Results showed notable improvements: regular customers increased from 10 to 14–20, monthly transactions rose from 25 to 35, social media engagement surged from 30 to 250 interactions, and online sales grew from 5 to 30 units. Entrepreneurs who adapted quickly became role models, fostering collaboration. The study highlights mobile marketing's role in accelerating digital transformation for local products, contributing to economic growth. Unlike previous research on MSMEs, this study emphasizes direct engagement through PAR, ensuring practical application and sustainability. Future studies should explore long-term evaluations and alternative digital platforms for broader market reach.
Amiludin Agus Dade Nurjaman Copyright (c) 2025 Amiludin, Agus Dade Nurjaman https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-05 2025-10-05 4 2 230 240 10.58988/jam.v4i2.438
